  Originally from Wednesbury in the West Midlands, I started a disco at my secondary school, I convinced my science teacher that building an amplifier could go towards my coarse work, same with my metalwork class where I made a deck stand and lighting stand, all at the tender age of 15, only problem with the amplifier is the lights went dim in the street when I turned in on ! Also the deck and lighting stand were so heavy it took 4 of us to carry them.

A very fast learning curve happened and I teamed up with 2 friends and offered to do any party we could, mostly for free to get the experience. We eventually started to get paid for our disco's as we got better, but my friends always wanted to spend the money on drinks and I wanted to buy better equipment, after a year we parted company and I started on my own. At 18 I was working in West Bromwich at a few winebars as they were called then, I did a few months in Oostende in Belgium working for Nita Anderson Entertainments - they also sent me to Tenerife for a 6 month contract, all good fun but I missed the UK so on my return carried on working in West Bromwich and also 3 clubs in Birmingham city center, The Power House - Millionaires and Sarah Moons, if anyone remembers them?

This is now the time I met the Mrs ! October 1985, I was still a dj but had to concentrate on a full time job, we moved to Telford and started work for BT, but still missed entertaining people so started up this disco after a few years. I now just run the Mobile Disco and specialise in Weddings, birthdays, Anniversaries etc. My son helps me and I think some of my experience has rubbed off on him as he loves the job and meeting new people. One thing that hasn't changed over the years is the fact that people still like a good party !

So there you have it my life story as a dj in a few paragraphs !
